Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced WordPress Developer with deep technical expertise and a strong foundation in WordPress core, custom development, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should be capable of building and scaling custom themes, plugins, and APIs with proficiency in modern frontend frameworks and backend architecture. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Balewadi, Pune, for immediate joiners only.
Key Responsibilities:
WordPress Development– Deep knowledge of WordPress core (hooks, filters, actions, shortcodes). Development of custom themes from scratch (not just child themes). Plugin development with clean, secure, and modular coding. Building Gutenberg blocks using React/JSX and @wordpress/* packages. Integration and extension of WordPress REST API. Management and configuration of multisite WordPress environments. (Optional) Automation using WP-CLI.
Frontend Development-Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+). Experience with jQuery and vanilla JavaScript for legacy projects. Proficiency in React.js for custom Gutenberg blocks or headless CMS setups. Expertise in mobile-first responsive design. Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or other UI frameworks.
Backend & Server-Side -Deep understanding of PHP (OOP, latest standards). Strong command over MySQL and advanced queries using WP_Query/meta_query. Experience with custom database tables and complex queries. WooCommerce customization and performance improvements. Implementation of security best practices including nonces, sanitization, and data validation.
Advanced Capabilities (Optional/Preferred) -Headless WordPress implementation using Next.js, Nuxt.js, React, or Vue. Integration with third-party APIs (Stripe, Firebase, Mailchimp, etc.). Development using ACF, MetaBox, custom post types, taxonomies, and fields. Creation of custom REST or GraphQL endpoints. Performance optimization using caching, lazy loading, and database indexing.
Soft Skills & Best Practices-Writes clean, readable, and well-documented code. Strong debugging experience with tools like Query Monitor, Debug Bar, etc. Effective client communication and requirements analysis. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum-based development cycles.
